FAQ 4: facebook and images
How do I POST IMAGES TO FACEBOOK from version 6385 onwards?
- There’s an authentication procedure first:
- Install version 6385 or above.
- Then go to EITHER http://bit.ly/gravityFPU (This is set up for use on a mobile phone.) OR http://www.mobileways.de/xfb (This might not work with the built-in S60 browser on your phone. I, for instance, had to do it on a ‘proper’ computer. You could perhaps try Opera or Bolt?)
- Follow the Facebook instructions to authorise Gravity to post images to Facebook.
- Close Gravity.
- Re-open Gravity again.
- Scroll to the Images section, select an image and you should see a ‘Facebook’ button.
- Press it.

I cannot post images to Facebook, THERE’S STILL NO BUTTON!
- Ok, look at the instructions above.
- Check that you have followed them, to the letter.
- If @janole hasn’t rolled out a fix for this, you MIGHT have to send your IMEI to him to allow some Gravity thing to be reset on your phone. TWEET HIM FIRST, BE SPECIFIC. Later, if he asks you to email, describe the exact problem, your phone model, your full IMEI (check all the digits carefully) etc.
- This might work now, simply by going to the section above and doing it AGAIN.
- If NOT, and you have done ALL of the above, and there’s STILL no fix, do this:
- Login to your Facebook account.
- Click ‘Account’ (top right.)
- Click ‘Application Settings.’
- If you can’t immediately see Gravity, click the ‘Authorised’ drop down list box.
- Find Gravity and click ‘Edit Settings’.
- Click both ‘Access my data…’ and ‘Publish Content…’ check boxes.
- Log out of your Facebook account.
- Close Gravity.
- Re-open Gravity again.
- Scroll to the Images section, select an image and you should see a ‘Facebook’ button. Press it.
- The photos STILL might not be posted. You might have to go to Facebook on your PC, go to the ‘Gravity’ folder and authorise them. It DOES seem a long way to have to go but just remember, if you had to do this using semaphore or carrier pigeons, WOULD you?

When trying to upload photos to FLICKR I’m asked for a FLICKR CODE. What is this code?
- To get it, go to http://mobileways.de/flickr
