Searching/filtering twitter

Have you ever wanted to filter anything or, for example, to exclude a twitter user from a #Gravity twitter search? Well, here is the only current way this author knows of.

The example assumes you want to find all the times #Gravity appears, but you simply cannot stand this author’s tweets.

  1. Go to #Gravity’s Twitter Search & Trends section,
  2. Press Menu.
  3. Press Add Search.
  4. Type the following, without the “” quote marks:
    ” #Gravity -FROM:bazbt3 “

The filter is composed as follows:

  • ‘#Gravity’ Finds all #Gravity
  • ‘-’ this excludes anything that follows
  • ‘FROM:’ from
  • ‘bazbt3′ @bazbt3
  • There are of course other search ‘operators’ that you can use. Have a look here:
    Twitter’s Advanced Search Operators.

Please, please don’t exclude this author from your lives, choose someone else! Thanks!
